The Gerber Wood Legacy

Gerber Wood can trace its history all the way back to 1901, when E.P. Gerber founded a small sawmill to serve his local community while focusing on the values of honesty, integrity, and customer service. Over the years, his sawmill expanded to include a hardware store and eventually a woodworking shop.

Gerber Wood grew and evolved alongside the community while remaining with new generations of the Gerber family. In 1993, we added a line of wood molding equipment to serve new needs, and continued to grow after that with the purchase of another millwork company. Over the years, we have been able to add new capabilities, such as manufacturing architectural moldings, stair parts, and retail products.

Innovation at Gerber Wood

The woodworking industry has grown significantly since E.P. Gerber founded his sawmill. As the industry and our local community have evolved, we’ve made it a point of emphasis to evolve right alongside them.

Today at Gerber Wood, you’ll find some of the latest technology in the industry, such as CNC routing and machining. These systems use pre-programmed computer software to guide the cuts of our machines, allowing for quick, precise work with tight tolerances — and the ability to work with materials besides wood. These and other tools help us produce a variety of custom wood products, perfectly aligned to your specific needs.

With a strong legacy and a forward-thinking approach, our team will continue to thrive as the woodworking industry moves forward. By staying true to our values, we will continue to deliver high-quality work, even as we make use of the latest trends and technology to find more innovative ways to help with your projects.
